Traditional Beef and Vegetable Stew
Beef recipes: traditional beef and vegetable stew
- 1 kg Carina North Quality beef chuck steak (trimmed and cubed)
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 1kg peeled potatoes
- 1 cup peas
- 3 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 1 1/2 cup of beef stock
Traditional Beef and Vegetable Stew: Method
Step 1: Heat oil in large saucepan on high heat.
Step 2: Add onion and stir until soft. Add garlic and beef and cook until it turns brown.
Step 3: Add carrot and potatoes. Cook for about 3 minutes and add beef stock. Bring to boil for 1 minute.
Step 4: Add tomato paste and bring to boil. Place the lid on top and leave to cook for about 45 minutes.
Step 5: Add peas and leave to cook for another 10 minutes.
Step 6: Serve in a large pot or bowl.
